Susan G. Komen evaluates and invests in science and technology to accelerate research discoveries in order to change the standard of breast cancer care and improve the delivery of that care. The organization is focused on conquering aggressive and metastatic breast cancers and eliminating breast cancer disparities with the goal of advancing personalized medicine and improving health outcomes for everyone.
The Susan G. Komen Career Transition Award is designed to aid senior postdoctoral fellows and clinical fellows in transitioning to independent breast cancer research careers. This grant provides up to five years of funding across two phases: Phase 1 for the final years of mentored postdoctoral training, and Phase 2 to support early career, tenure-track investigators' independent research. The grant totals up to $650,000.00, with up to $100,000.00 per year for up to two years for Phase 1, and up to $150,000.00 per year for up to three years for Phase 2, covering both direct and indirect costs.
