The mission of the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation and its associated community foundations (Gray’s Crossing Community Foundation, the Old Greenwood Community Foundation, and the Northstar Community Foundation) focuses on sustaining and enhancing the lifestyle of the Truckee-North Tahoe area through educational, cultural, athletic, and community-based initiatives. The Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation Grants program supports projects that demonstrate a clear civic and/or community benefit. Successful grant requests should have achievable goals, a specific plan for civic or community enhancement, a detailed funding strategy, and a clear method for generating measurable results. They target initiatives that private business and public office might not support, thereby cultivating the vital spirit unique to the Sierra region.
