    Overview

The Rural Volunteer Fire Department Insurance Program (HB 3667) is a grant initiative aimed at supporting volunteer fire departments by covering the cost of various insurance policies. This program is specifically designed for those purchasing insurance from Texas companies, covering a spectrum of policies including workers' compensation, accidental death and dismemberment, group term life, accident and sickness, and cancer-related insurance. Eligible volunteer fire departments can receive reimbursement for 100% of the actual cost of these insurance policies, with a cap of $190 per department member.
