Building a foundation of anti-racism and a culture of care, the Textile Society of America aims to foster an international collective community—diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible—for the exchange and dissemination of knowledge and experiences about textiles worldwide.
The Research Travel Grant program, supported by Elena Phipps and Alan Finkel, aims to fund individual TSA members engaged in textiles research-related travel, encompassing local, regional, and international studies of any type, specifically for the in-person study of textiles. This grant supports two research travel grants (up to $1000 each), promoting the TSA's commitment to facilitating access to textile knowledge and research opportunities.
