To engage Coloradans of all ages in innovative arts programming that inspires creativity, builds community, and advances equity. Their vision is that all communities can benefit from the transformative effects of arts education, underpinned by values of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Accessibility, Creativity & Delight, and Learning & Curiosity.
The "Equity in Arts Learning for Colorado Youth" (EAL) grant program aims to enhance access to arts education for historically marginalized youth through grants ranging from $10,000-$25,000. The initiative supports projects that engage professional artists and culture bearers in educational settings for youth aged 4-21, emphasizing arts education's importance and encouraging community support. It strives to break down systemic barriers to arts learning for marginalized youth, aiming to strengthen regional efforts for improved and sustained access to arts education, provide professional artist-led educational opportunities, and increase state-wide resources for more equitable arts education access. Projects supported can cover a wide range of arts disciplines and should be designed with and for the youth, ensuring accessibility and engagement over a meaningful period, ideally six weeks or longer.
