The Three Valleys Community Foundation aims to support local nonprofits in their essential work and to foster transformative change in the community by being responsive to identified needs. Recognizing mental health as a critical area of concern based on community health needs assessments and local school district feedback, the foundation embraces values of Collaboration and Innovation in addressing these challenges.
The Community Impact Grant - Mental Health program is centered around addressing the critical issue of mental health from diverse perspectives and through broad and targeted approaches. It prioritizes applications that encourage collaboration between two or more organizations. The grant supports initiatives in areas like early intervention for mental health conditions, building social emotional skills and resilience, expanding awareness and access to mental health care, ensuring equitable access to these services, and addressing the stigma associated with mental health conditions. Special attention is given to youth mental health in the Greater San Ramon Valley, with targeted grants available through collaboration with the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Youth Mental Health Outreach Initiative. Funding amounts range from $10,000 to $30,000, with higher amounts available for collaborative projects.
