Truth Initiative is a national public health organization dedicated to achieving a culture where all young people reject smoking, vaping, and nicotine and a future where tobacco and nicotine addiction are a thing of the past.
The Truth Initiative Tobacco/Vape-Free College Program offers grants up to $20,000 to colleges and universities to support the adoption and implementation of a 100% tobacco/vape-free policy. Additionally, grants up to $10,000 are available to enhance policies by including e-cigarettes, addressing the vaping epidemic. The program aims to engage and mobilize student populations and garner support among faculty, staff, and administration. Required activities include forming a broad-based taskforce, assessing tobacco-related issues, educating and engaging the campus community, identifying tobacco treatment options, and developing a policy recommendation for a 100% tobacco/vape-free campus. Grant proposals must include student engagement strategies and allocate at least 15% of the budget to these activities.
