    The "Learning Loss Request for Proposal" by United Way of Greater Atlanta aims to combat learning loss among school-aged children throughout Georgia. This initiative supports organizations that provide or aim to implement programs addressing the negative impact of educational disruptions. The funding prioritizes proposals that focus on building reading skills, improving math proficiency, facilitating successful school transitions, strengthening family engagement in education, accelerating learning directly tied to immediate success and future learning, providing access to quality out-of-school time, and contextualizing learning to enhance understanding and relatability. Grants awarded will be up to $50,000 per organization, with a special stipulation for smaller organizations, which can apply for grants up to 25% of their last fiscal year’s operating expenses. The grant aims to support 50-60 organizations in implementing programs that mitigate learning loss and promote academic success.
