The mission of USTA Wheelchair Tennis is to support the development and growth of wheelchair tennis across the United States. Since 2008, they have dedicated over $650,000 towards grassroots programs aimed at building a vibrant community around the sport, with a particular focus on engaging young and new players.
The Collegiate Community Hub Grant, offered in collaboration with the ITA by the USTA, is a one-time grant of up to $10,000. This grant is available to athletic departments that operate their tennis facility as a new "Collegiate Community Hub" which must have opened to the public within the last 12 months. These Hubs serve as full-service tennis centers that aim to engage not only the student body, faculty, and staff but also the local community, by providing tennis instruction and playing opportunities for people of all ages, skills, and abilities.
