    In support of America's foreign policy, the U.S. Agency for International Development leads the U.S. Government's international development and disaster assistance through partnerships and investments that save lives, reduce poverty, strengthen democratic governance, and help people emerge from humanitarian crises and progress beyond assistance.

    Overview

    The grant program is focused on engaging local organizations in Uganda to provide information on how they can work as partners in a range of technical areas. These areas include Agriculture and Market Systems Development, Anti-corruption, Human Rights, Governance, Revenue Mobilization, Basic Education, support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children and Youth, Tourism, Environment and Natural Resource Management, Private Sector Development, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH), Health (covering a wide spectrum of health issues), Digital Development and Innovations, Humanitarian response/disaster relief, Research/academia, Organizational development/capacity building, and Communications. The objective is to solicit information from potential new local partners who are actively involved or interested in these areas to potentially provide services, thereby fostering locally led development initiatives.
