In support of America's foreign policy, the U.S. Agency for International Development leads the U.S. Government's international development and disaster assistance through partnerships and investments that save lives, reduce poverty, strengthen democratic governance, and help people emerge from humanitarian crises and progress beyond assistance.
The USAID Western Cape Provincial Care and Treatment Activity is a Request for Information (RFI) seeking feedback on a new Care and Treatment Activity focused on HIV and TB epidemic control in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. It aims to refine activity design to close the gap to HIV/TB epidemic control while building a resilient health system and leveraging community, civil society, and private sector partnerships. This RFI is particularly interested in identifying local organizations with the capability to implement technical interventions supporting HIV epidemic control. The program focuses on the provincial level in addition to national efforts, aligning with the South African National Department of Health, the National Strategic Plan, and agreements between the governments of the United States and South Africa as part of the President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Country Operational Planning process.
