The grant program aims to standardize and strengthen SVET’s capabilities in dealing with sexual crimes, exploitation, trafficking in persons (TIP), and implementing a comprehensive train-the-trainer program. It seeks to enable SVET to coordinate effectively with all Government of Guatemala (GoG) institutions in conducting awareness campaigns designed to combat sexual and gender-based violence (GBV) by challenging stereotypes and cultural norms that perpetuate these crimes. Additionally, the program focuses on empowering SVET to identify and initiate investigations, through the corresponding authorities, against criminal structures involved in money laundering and human trafficking. This initiative emphasizes inter-institutional collaboration, particularly with MINEDUC and the National Civil Police (PNC), to leverage education and policing in fostering a culture that rejects violence and exploitation.
