    Overview

    The grant program aims to strengthen the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency’s role and mandate in coordinating the national assets recovery system in Moldova. This initiative seeks to support Moldova in its efforts to prevent and combat corruption, improve its asset recovery system, and align with its government's priorities under the current Program and Action Plan. This includes adhering to commitments made through agreements with the European Union, the International Monetary Fund, and its National Plan for EU accession. Priorities include combating corruption, fighting organized crime, enhancing international cooperation, and implementing legislative measures for criminal asset recovery, in line with Moldova's candidate status and upcoming accession negotiations with the EU.
