    Overview

The grant program announced by the U.S. Embassy Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, seeks to support the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) initiative. It aims to enhance the capacity of 100 women entrepreneurs across the DRC by consolidating and professionalizing existing entrepreneurial networks. Targeting five provinces/cities, the program intends to train twenty women in each location, leveraging the expertise of women business owners who are alumni of U.S. government-funded exchange programs. These alumni will serve as primary facilitators, utilizing the American Spaces network countrywide and partnering with local NGOs focused on sustainable management solutions. The overarching goal is to empower women entrepreneurs through quality training and network support, furthering economic prosperity and professional development in the DRC.
