To increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries by means of educational and cultural exchange that assist in the development of peaceful relations.
The FY 2024 Leaders Lead On-Demand (LLOD) program is aimed at taking ideas from across the U.S. Department of State and developing them into uniquely tailored, multi-segmented projects to quickly respond to emerging foreign policy priorities. This cooperative agreement is designed to support a series of exchange projects ranging in size and scope. It will fund approximately four to six distinct projects for around 75 participants, including approximately 55 foreign participants and 20 from the United States. Each project will feature a central component where a group of foreign participants will travel to the U.S. for an intensive, tailored program including workshops, events, mentorships, or placements within U.S. businesses or organizations. Additionally, at least one overseas segment will include U.S. participants interacting with their foreign counterparts to further mutual understanding and address specific project goals. U.S. public and private non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status are eligible to submit proposals for executing these exchange projects.
