    Overview

The U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation – Ukraine Response (AFCP-UR) focuses on the preservation and protection of cultural heritage in Ukraine impacted by Russia’s unjust and unprovoked war of aggression. Its broad goals include safeguarding prominent examples of Ukraine’s cultural heritage through various supportive activities such as assessment and documentation of risk and damage, protection against theft or further damage, stabilization, temporary repair, recovery, conservation, and, conditions permitting, the restoration or reconstruction of affected cultural heritage sites, objects, and collections. AFCP-UR supports two project categories: Site-Specific Projects and Regional Assessment and Rapid Response Projects, allowing applicants to focus on specific sites or broader geographic assessments and recovery efforts in Ukraine.
