The Specially Adapted Housing Assistive Technology (SAHAT) Grant Program focuses on encouraging the development of new assistive technologies to aide veterans and servicemembers. The program supports advancements that can improve or facilitate the adaptation of homes for veterans, thereby enhancing their ability to live independently. This initiative is in recognition of the potential for emerging technologies to significantly impact the quality of living for those requiring specially adapted housing, by either upgrading current home adaptations or introducing novel solutions to common problems faced by veterans and servicemembers in their living environments.
