The Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) supports people-to-people conversations with foreign publics on U.S. policy priorities.
The grant program aims to support the efforts of NGOs and academic institutions in connecting U.S. experts with audiences and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to address a variety of critical issues. These issues include, but are not limited to, the rule of law, anti-corruption, promoting citizen political participation, civil society, education modernization, entrepreneurship, investigative journalism, countering disinformation, media literacy, gender-based violence, support for vulnerable populations, and countering violent extremism. Through the organization of visits by American experts to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the program seeks to engage local audiences via lectures, workshops, and seminars, appearances in media, and consultancy roles. Its broader goals include promoting understanding of U.S. strategic priorities, policies, and institutions, and fostering linkages between U.S. and Bosnian experts and institutions.
