    Overview

The grant program's primary goal is to combat child trafficking in Nepal by fostering a Child Protection Compact Partnership between the United States and the Government of Nepal for about five years. This partnership aims to enhance and bolster the efforts of both the Nepali government and civil society organizations in eradicating forced child labor and child sex trafficking. It emphasizes a victim-centered, coordinated, sustainable, and multi-sectoral approach for fostering an effective system of justice, prevention, and protection. This approach particularly includes the implementation of a victim-centered prevention strategy addressing specific risk factors, ensuring high-quality comprehensive victim protection, and facilitating the investigation, prosecution, and conviction of offenders.
