    Overview

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Intercity Bus Security Grant Program (IBSGP) is designed to support intercity bus companies in securing critical surface transportation infrastructure and safeguarding the traveling public from acts of terrorism. This program is part of the broader efforts by DHS/FEMA to focus on transportation infrastructure security activities. For FY 2024, the program puts special emphasis on two priority areas: enhancing cybersecurity and enhancing the protection of soft targets/crowded places because of the evolving threat landscapes. It seeks not only to address the continuous cyber threats by sophisticated actors but also the vulnerabilities of crowded places and the democratic electoral process to acts of terrorism. DHS is committed to strengthening partnerships and improving information sharing and cooperation among state, local, tribal, and territorial authorities, and federal agencies in these priority areas.
