The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s mission is to help people before, during and after disasters.
The Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) Grant Program aims to bolster local capabilities to prevent all forms of targeted violence and terrorism. It offers financial assistance, training, and resources to support sustainable, multidisciplinary approaches within communities. This includes pioneering prevention methods and identifying best practices for wider replication. The grant prioritizes addressing the persistent threat from lone offenders and small groups motivated by various extremist ideologies, both domestic and foreign, with a specific focus on combating racially or ethnically motivated violence, anti-government sentiment, and international terrorism threats. The program supports projects that tackle these issues in both online and physical spaces while maintaining a strong commitment to privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties.
