NIJ is the research, development and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice. We are dedicated to improving knowledge and understanding of crime and justice issues through science.
This grant program focuses on advancing the prevention and reduction of violent crime in communities by funding evaluations of community-based violence intervention and prevention programs. Its objectives are to build evidence regarding the implementation and effectiveness of strategic approaches to violence intervention and prevention. The grants will support evaluation research in two areas: programmatic sites funded under the OJP FY23 and FY24 CVIPI solicitations, and other community-violence programs.
