The grant program aims to create the Novel Psychoactive Substance Discovery, Education, and Reporting Institute (NPS DiscERn). Its broad goals are to rapidly identify and report on newly emerging opioids, stimulants, and other drugs that may result in intoxication, impairment, or other adverse health effects, thereby informing public health and safety responses.
