NIJ is the research, development and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice. We are dedicated to improving knowledge and understanding of crime and justice issues through science.
The grant aims to support rigorous research and evaluation projects with a focus on two main areas: understanding the root causes and consequences of school violence, and evaluating the impact and effectiveness of initiatives funded under the STOP School Violence Act. These projects seek to fill existing knowledge gaps in efforts to mitigate school violence, thereby contributing to safer educational environments.
