The RAMPS (Regional Alliances and Multistakeholder Partnerships to Stimulate) Cybersecurity Education and Workforce Development grant seeks to establish community-based partnerships to develop cybersecurity career pathways tailored to local workforce needs. It aims to create effective multistakeholder workforce partnerships among multiple employers facing skill shortages in specific occupations. These partnerships focus on developing a skilled workforce that meets industry requirements within local or regional economies. Additionally, the grant supports the NICE strategic plan, which emphasizes promoting cybersecurity career discovery, transforming learning for a diverse and skilled workforce, modernizing talent management to address skills gaps, expanding the use of the Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity (NICE Framework), and driving research on workforce development practices. It aligns with Federal strategies for recruitment, hiring, and retention to foster a unified ecosystem for cybersecurity workforce development.
