    The grant aims to support exploratory research and preliminary interventions focused on the complex interplay between substance use and HIV risk among survivors of sexual trafficking. It seeks to develop new interventions and models of care to effectively engage survivors in treatment for substance use disorders (SUD), HIV, trauma, and other mental health issues. Additionally, the grant focuses on addressing the structural and social determinants of health contributing to the risk of sexual trafficking and the challenges survivors face in escaping exploitation.
