    The Outstanding Investigator Award (R35) by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) aims to offer long-term support to researchers with a proven track record of productivity in any area of cancer research. The goal of the award is to enable these accomplished investigators to undertake exceptionally innovative and risky research, develop new techniques, and pursue projects with the potential for significant impact in biomedical, behavioral, or clinical cancer research. The grant encourages applications on behalf of established Program Directors/Principal Investigators (PDs/PIs) for projects that are poised to break new ground or extend existing discoveries towards novel directions or applications, potentially leading to breakthroughs in cancer research.
