    Overview

The Child Care Policy Research Partnerships (CCPRP) grant program supports partnerships between Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Lead Agencies and research organizations to conduct research on child care subsidy policies and practices. Its broad goals include improving low-income families' access to quality child care and informing local and federal policymakers about the effectiveness of these policies and practices. The program emphasizes research on quality improvement initiatives to ascertain their impact on increasing access to quality child care, with a special focus on underserved areas, infants and toddlers, children with disabilities, and children in nontraditional-hour care. Grantees are required to collaborate within a consortium to harmonize research efforts and enhance the overall research capacity in the field.
