From US Department of Health & Human Services: Administration for Children & Families

To foster health and well-being by providing federal leadership, partnership and resources for the compassionate and effective delivery of human services

    Type of Support

    Overview

The grant program aims to fill the gap in states that do not accept FY2024 allocations for State PREP by funding local organizations, including faith-based organizations or consortia, to develop and implement the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP). The broad goals include educating youth on sexual health and promoting comprehensive development in other critical areas of adulthood preparation. Specifically, projects supported by this grant must implement at least three of the six adulthood preparation subjects: healthy relationships, adolescent development, financial literacy, parent-child communication, educational and career success, and healthy life skills. This initiative reflects a holistic approach to youth development, ensuring that they receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for healthy, successful adult lives.
