To foster health and well-being by providing federal leadership, partnership and resources for the compassionate and effective delivery of human services
The Social and Economic Development Strategies (SEDS) program aims to support community-driven projects that focus on enhancing local economies, strengthening Native American families, and preserving Native American cultures. This includes addressing challenges stemming from the lack of community-based businesses and social and economic infrastructure within Native American communities. The program targets a broad range of Native American groups, including federally-recognized and non-federally recognized American Indian tribes, Native Hawaiians, Alaska Natives, and Native American Pacific Islanders.
