The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Data Collaborative Equity Analysis Awards are designed to support state, territory, or county TANF agencies in performing equity-focused analysis on TANF and other human services data. The primary goal is to ensure fair, just, and impartial treatment of individuals in TANF management and practices by examining disparities across social groups in benefits, program referrals, or sanctioning rates. This 30-month project includes intensive training and technical assistance to enhance agencies' capacities to conduct research identifying and addressing potential inequities in TANF programs, ultimately guiding program improvement towards social equity in public services and policy implementation.
