To foster health and well-being by providing federal leadership, partnership and resources for the compassionate and effective delivery of human services
The grant aims to establish the National Center for Tribal Child Welfare Innovation and Advancement. This Center will act as the key avenue for delivering comprehensive, culturally tailored technical assistance to Title IV-B and Title IV-E American Indian and Alaska Native Nations. The assistance is designed to bolster organizational and system performance and to enhance outcomes for tribal children, youth, and families by valuing indigenous knowledge systems. It emphasizes the preservation of tribal cultures and provides support in the following areas: workforce supports, prevention programs, tribal child welfare program development, compliance with federal requirements, tribal-state collaboration, and data management enhancement.
