The Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs leads Department efforts to expand and strengthen the relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other countries.
The grant program seeks to support proposals that enhance U.S.-Poland relations through activities catering to high school students, university students, young professionals aged 16 to 35, and established community leaders across various sectors. These activities should emphasize shared values, promote bilateral cooperation, and establish lasting connections between U.S. and Polish communities. With a requirement for a clear connection to the United States, either through U.S. organizations, experts, and/or best practices, the program focuses on increasing the awareness and understanding of U.S. perspectives, policies, and society in Poland. Eligible activities include youth engagement programs, workshops, seminars, trainings, master classes, and exhibitions that advance shared democracy, economic, and security goals, develop human capital, social or economic innovation, and reinforce lessons learned by Polish alumni of U.S. exchange programs. Proposals lacking significant U.S. content are not eligible for funding.
