The Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs leads Department efforts to expand and strengthen the relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other countries.
The PD Small Grants Program is focused on programs that facilitate cultural and exchange activities between the U.S. and Eswatini. The grant supports various initiatives like academic and professional lectures, seminars, speaker programs, artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances, exhibitions, cultural heritage conservation and preservation, as well as professional and academic exchanges. Programs that are developed by alumni of U.S.-sponsored educational or professional exchange programs are also included. All proposed programs must incorporate an American element or engage with American experts, organizations, or institutions to promote a deeper understanding of U.S. viewpoints and policies.
