The Public Diplomacy Grants Program of PDS Finland invites proposals for programs that emphasize American societal, cultural elements, or expertise in areas that facilitate a deeper understanding of U.S. viewpoints. Programs should involve a collaboration or partnership with local Finnish organizations and must have a public outreach element, such as events or digital engagement. Priority areas include:

    • Fostering cooperation between Arctic states and communities, addressing climate change, and supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA).
    • Addressing global security challenges, enhancing understanding of NATO, and supporting Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) initiatives.
    • Promoting collaboration and exchanges between American and Finnish students and teachers, as well as programs aimed at economic prosperity, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
    • Countering disinformation.

These initiatives can include a wide range of activities, such as artistic and cultural workshops, academic lectures, and professional exchanges.
