The Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs leads Department efforts to expand and strengthen the relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other countries.
The annual Public Diplomacy grants program invites proposals that aim to strengthen bilateral ties between the United States and the United Kingdom. All proposed programs must promote at least one U.S. Embassy priority program area and include a U.S. element or connection. The focus is on initiatives that can involve U.S. experts, organizations, or institutions in a specific field to promote increased understanding of U.S. policies and perspectives. Applications for this grant are accepted on a rolling basis until August 13, 2024.
