    Overview

    The broad goals of the LQC program are focused on pursuing disruptive fundamental research and enabling technologies specifically in the area of qubit development for uses in quantum computing and sensing. It aims to cultivate deep, collaborative partnerships to address significant, long-term challenges in quantum information science and technology. Additionally, the program is dedicated to building the quantum workforce of the future by providing research experiences within government at LPS and its partners. The LQC facilitates collaborative research among LPS, academia, industry, federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs), and government laboratories to propel foundational and transformative research on critical issues impeding progress in quantum information processing and related technologies.
