The Teacher Quality Partnership (TQP) program aims to enhance student achievement by improving both the quality and preparation of prospective teachers and the professional development of new teachers. It seeks to hold teacher preparation programs at institutions of higher education accountable for producing teachers who meet state certification and licensure requirements. Additionally, the program focuses on recruiting highly qualified individuals, including those of color and from other occupations, into the teaching profession.
