The Administration for Community Living (ACL) supports the needs of the aging and disability populations, and improves access health care and long-term services.
The grant program aims to test and advance models of volunteer programming that support older adults, persons with disabilities, and their caregivers in maintaining independence. Objectives include testing person-centered approaches to volunteer assistance, evaluating these models for their benefits to all involved parties, and developing plans for the dissemination of successful models for replication in other communities.
