The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) provides equitable health care to the nation’s highest-need communities. Our programs support people with low incomes, people with HIV, pregnant people, children, parents, rural communities, transplant patients, and the health workforce.
The broad goal of this grant program is to expand the workforce of behavioral health professionals who are specifically trained to support children, adolescents, and transitional-aged youth who are at risk for behavioral health disorders. This involves initiatives aimed at engaging and retaining families in prevention and intervention programs focused on mental health. This approach underscores a commitment to early and preventive care, as well as family involvement in treatment processes for younger individuals facing mental health challenges.
