The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) provides equitable health care to the nation’s highest-need communities. Our programs support people with low incomes, people with HIV, pregnant people, children, parents, rural communities, transplant patients, and the health workforce.
The grant aims to support the development and implementation of mechanisms for reimbursing qualified expenses related to organ transplantation. The award recipient will engage with key stakeholders, including transplant and dialysis centers, patients on the transplant waiting list, and organizations advocating for those in need of transplants, to develop policies and procedures for the program's operation. The grant also involves collaboration with another award recipient to increase public awareness about the program and living organ donation. Additionally, the recipient is tasked with working alongside HRSA to evaluate the program's impact, identifying gaps, and enhancing routine performance.
