The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) provides equitable health care to the nation’s highest-need communities. Our programs support people with low incomes, people with HIV, pregnant people, children, parents, rural communities, transplant patients, and the health workforce.
The grant program focuses on enhancing public education on organ donation, engaging various stakeholders including transplant and dialysis centers, patients awaiting transplant, and organizations aiding those in need of transplants. Its objectives include expanding public education, collaborating with community-based organizations to reach medically underserved populations, and ensuring they have access to organ donation resources. Additionally, it aims to increase access to the Living Organ Donation Reimbursement Program in collaboration with HRSA and other recipients. An essential component involves supporting evaluation efforts to assess the impact of these endeavors and improve the effectiveness of organ donation awareness efforts consistently.
