The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) provides equitable health care to the nation’s highest-need communities. Our programs support people with low incomes, people with HIV, pregnant people, children, parents, rural communities, transplant patients, and the health workforce.
This program focuses on supporting rural hospitals in expanding their services to meet community health needs while also enhancing their financial sustainability. It aims to provide expert technical assistance for market assessments, enhancing existing service lines, and initiating new ones to keep healthcare services local. Additionally, it includes direct financial support for associated costs with developing service lines, with the broader goal of addressing long-standing rural health disparities.
