    Overview

The Foster Youth to Independence Competitive (FYI Competitive) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) provides Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) financial assistance to Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) that have an existing Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) with HUD for HCVs. This program is designed to work in partnership with Public Child Welfare Agencies (PCWAs). The grant aims to facilitate additional voucher availability for PHAs beyond what is accessible through HUD’s FYI non-competitive funding process, allowing for more strategic, longer-term planning to meet the needs of youth under the Family Unification Program (FUP) throughout the year.
