The U.S. Embassy Podgorica’s Public Diplomacy Section aims to support the development of media freedom and journalistic professional standards in Montenegro, fostering a more informed and engaged public.
The 2024 Media Professionalization Assistance Program seeks to provide financial support for projects and initiatives that enhance media freedom and elevate journalistic standards within Montenegro. Grants, ranging from $30,000 to $70,000, will be awarded to media outlets, educational institutions, or civil society/non-governmental organizations that demonstrate high professional standards, trustworthiness, and a successful track record. Preference will be given to proposals with clear, goal-oriented project plans that promise significant, positive impacts for their intended beneficiaries.
