The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) administers programs that create domestic and international marketing opportunities for U.S. producers of food, fiber, and specialty crops.
The grant aims to explore and identify new market opportunities for U.S. food and agricultural products. It supports research and innovation designed to enhance the efficiency and performance of the U.S. agricultural marketing system. The FSMIP (Federal State Marketing Improvement Program) funds a variety of applied research projects that tackle barriers, challenges, and opportunities in the marketing, transportation, and distribution of U.S. food and agricultural products, both domestically and internationally.
