The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) administers programs that create domestic and international marketing opportunities for U.S. producers of food, fiber, and specialty crops.
MGFSP assists agricultural agencies or departments in eligible states and territories to increase the quantity and quality of locally grown food in food insecure communities. This is achieved through small-scale gardening, herding, and livestock operations by competitively distributing subawards to eligible entities. The grant program encourages applicants to include goals and activities related to climate resilience in their project’s design and implementation.
