The 2024 APHIS WS cooperative agreement funding aims to control and prevent chronic wasting disease (CWD) among wild cervids, emphasizing support for Tribal lands. This initiative involves the development and/or implementation of surveillance, testing, management, and response activities related to CWD on lands owned or managed by Tribal entities. The funding allocation of approximately $500,000 will be contingent on Congressional appropriations for FY24.
