The Research Facilities Act Program (RFAP) is designed to support qualifying institutions in enhancing their capacity for agricultural and food sciences research through financial assistance. This program primarily focuses on constructions, renovations, purchases, modifications, and updates of agricultural research buildings. The overarching goal is to enable long-term, impactful research in agriculture by improving the infrastructure necessary for such endeavors. The grant supports a wide range of activities including evaluating potential sites, designing new or restored structures, creating construction plans, and investing in permanent equipment and essential building systems required for the research.
