The GusNIP Nutrition Incentive Program is designed to unite stakeholders from the food and healthcare systems to enhance the nutritional health status of households by increasing fruit and vegetable purchases. By offering incentives at the point of purchase, the program aims to support income-eligible consumers, including those participating in the USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) across all 50 States, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the United States Virgin Islands, as well as those in the USDA Nutrition Assistance Program (NAP) in Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The program focuses on improving access to nutritious food through financial incentives, thereby fostering healthier eating habits among income-eligible populations.
